Genkan = Entryway

So I've been putting it off for months but I finally tiled the genkan in the apartment I live in.

 old linoleum

 stripped floor

 tile design put down, used tape on the top to keep my Herringbone in place.

 grouted

cleaned and finished.

Almost finched!

A little more sanding, some paint, maybe a custom latch for the drawer..Oh, and also the drawer, I haven't made that yet.

Wow, I really haven't posted since April? I'm a terrible blogger.

Been working on a small display cabinet lately.  It's progressing quite well.  Still needs two half shelves.

Aside from this, I'm working up north for an artist as his assistant and preparing for three art exhibits later this year.  I'll be making a bunch of junk in the near future so's I should be posting a bit more.

Recent glasswork

Here's a selection of some small glass pieces I've been making.  They will be on display for 1 day near my home, in Omori.  I will have some older glasswork and my paintings on display and will be sharing the space with an amazing young illustrator, Kyan-dog, on the 28th of this month.

Picked up my paintings the other day from my first exhibition in Tokyo at The Pink Cow Restaurant and Bar.  And here they all are, I don't think I've posted finished pictures of all of them before.

The Latest Reform (Renovation) Job

Just put in the floors, kitchen cabinet doors and handles, painted the front door,  tiled the genkan (entryway),  some electrical...

Here's where I'm at with these two.

I'm afraid of where this one's going at the moment.  It's too big a painting for me and I don't know what I'm doing.

Attempted a background fade with this one.  Heh heh, I don't hate it, but...
